The Voices of Fonts

Youtube user TheMinuteVlog posted this humorous video creating individual voices for several common fonts. Short, sweet and to the point.

Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead

Today I discovered that Netflix had one of my favorite Troma films available for streaming – Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (2006). I will freely admit that this film has no values at all; no aesthetic values, no moral values and certainly no film-making values.

Even though the movie has been available for years, it always makes me smile whenever I watch it. So I thought I’d spend a few moments on this site to give it a short plug.

World’s Smallest House

I saw this video on CNN this evening and thought it was very interesting concept. Architect Bo Le-Mentzal created this house as a “One-Sqm-House”.

This one square meter house includes a seat, lighting, a desktop and when laid on the side, a bed.

While I don’t think will become a realistic option for housing, this house demonstrates that humans take their space and their living quarters for granted.

It would be an interesting project to build these houses in urban areas to help house the homeless. It looks like they could be built inexpensively and this might provide a way to help people survive the streets.

What Is ComaConspiracy.com?

ComaConspiracy.com graffiti

What is ComaConspiracy.com? If you go to the website, you find a collection of unusual photos and videos with a running commentary. This is a conspiracy site, or so it seems – one that involves patients mysteriously slipping into comas at The Jefferson Institute.

The photos and videos are leaked information showing what is happening inside, and these are very strange things indeed. The group behind the ComaConspiracy.com website is releasing this information using very underground, secretive tactics.

It is also evident that they have taken to the streets to do a little stencil art – and this is what drew my attention and why I am even making note of this site.

Times Squared Hacked!!
This is the most Anonymous-like video in their collection. It shows a few people in a vehicle in downtown New York City. They flip a switch and instantly the videos in Times Square reveal an image of a woman laying flat with wires suspending her.

ComaConspiracy Video Manifesto
This is a very digitized and edited piece of video.

So, what is ComaConspiracy.com? It is nothing more than a slick marketing campaign to promote a Ridley Scott and Tony Scott mini-series called Coma that will air on the A&E network over labor day weekend.

A medical student discovers that something sinister is going on in her hospital after routine procedures send more than a few seemingly healthy patients into comas on the operating table. The 2-night event premieres Labor Day, 9/3 @ 9/8c.

Buzz and Woody – All Grown Up

Here is a great action figure mock-up of Buzz and Woody from the Toy Story Disney animations by the folks at Studio 407. This image was found on their Facebook feed, so I am not 100% certain who is responsible for the creation of these figures.

I am going to do a bit of digging and try to discover who created these. If you know who made these, please feel free to leave a reply.

Nobody Cares about Your Stick Figure Family Car Sticker

A few of the photos from the ‘Nobody Cares about Your Stick Figure Family’ car sticker collection have been floating around my Facebook feed recently Personally, I find these stickers very appropriate because this is my impression of the generic back-window stickers.

After a few search engine results, I discovered theses stickers are available through a seller called StickerCiti on Amazon.com. They have a vast assortment of alternate stickers – most with tongue in cheek criticism about the regular-ole family stickers. They include zombies, aliens, monster trucks, whatever…

I haven’t placed my order yet, but I expect to very soon. At $3.95, the price is perfect. I am still trying to decide between the alien abduction sticker and the chainsaw wielding maniac sticker.
