365 Days of Creativity Archive

At the beginning of 2011 the statica.com website was dedicated to the 365 Days of Creativity.  Well, that lasted about two months.  What started off as an amazing endeavor quickly dwindled into a giant black hole of nothingness.  My focus waned and by mid-March the project was completely over.  Such is my life.

The projects I was working on did not disappear forever… in fact, I have the entire archive of all the images from those two artistic months archived.  In the gallery below, I present a small sampling of the images that were part of that crazy two-month artistic period.

Art Inspiration – Michael Pucciarelli

SEEN LAND, Michael Pucciarelli60" x 48", Acrylic on canvas, 2011

If you are looking for a collection of the wildest, most unique visual imagery possible, look no further. This is like taking a step into a Coney Island daydream.

THE ARTIST formerly known as Michael Pucciarelli is resurrecting Pooch Island from dismantled rides, discarded icons, and forgotten Gods…

Raised on a diet of Ray Harryhausen films, H. P. Lovecraft novels, comics, Walt Disney World and other Florida tourist traps, Pooch paints images that seem to exist in a bizarre afterlife. His art is a visual cocktail of these influences—with a shot of lowbrow culture—shaken and stirred, then served up in a souvenir tiki skull on the Day of the Dead. A self-taught artist, he owes much of his painting skills to over ten years of daily tattooing and drawing.
